Camellia Venture Capital was founded in 2016. The Camellia team consists of a unique combination of executives whose operational experience and industry knowledge enables portfolio companies to utilize the team's know-how toward superior results.
The firm's Fund I has invested in early- to mid-stage companies in financial technology.
In addition to the expertise of the Camellia team, the firm has a unique strategic partnership with various prestigious venture capital firms and related public companies in China. The ability to bridge unique investments opportunities in both U.S. and China and the capability of identifying market opportunity in two largest markets are assets unheard of in the venture capital arena.

Chanjuan Pan
Managing Partner
Chanjuan Pan was one of the early employees at Renaissance Technologies, one of the most successful hedge funds in the industry. Chanjuan helped shape the development and execution of Renaissance Technologies’ proprietary trading technology, contributing to Renaissance Technologies’ significant growth in this space. Chanjuan retired from Renaissance Technologies before she was 40 years old, after an extremely successful 15-year career. Half year after her retirement from Renaissance Technologies, Chanjuan founded Camellia Venture Capital and has been focusing on venture capital investing and advising startups. Chanjuan earned M.S. degrees in Chemistry and in Computer Science from Stony Brook University.
